isi-hagenbergAs part of an Entrepreneurship lecture on December, 2nd 2009 Professor Bruno Buchberger and Mag. Wolfgang Schulnig presented the International Incubator Hagenberg to the students of the International Master’s Program in Informatics. The 22 young students from Egypt, Romania and Japan were very interested in the support the Hagenberg incubator is offering them for the realization of their business ideas.

The possibility of founding a start-up company in the frame of the Incubator, is an important reason for these students to enroll into the International Master’s Program in Hagenberg.

FH Day @ Campus Hagenberg

fh_day_hagenbergMag. Wolfgang Schulnig seized the so called ‘FH Day’ to get an impression of the study programs at the Upper Austrian university of applied sciences, campus Hagenberg. In lectures on network engineering and compiler construction he was able to witness the profound education in IT basics for himself. With the presented study projects from the fields of near field communication, mobile computing and virtual surgery the students showed a high level of dedication and the ability to apply the acquired knowledge.

Mag. Wolfgang Schulnig was very satisfied with what he saw, ‘Today’s students with their practical education are tomorrow’s entrepreneurs. Beside that they play an important role for the attractiveness of the Softwarepark Hagenberg as a site for IT businesses, which is a crucial part of the offer of the International Incubator Hagenberg.’
Of course one day is not enough time to attend classes of all study programs
