Upper Austria's Top 50 Innovations

AWARDED. Numerous prizes, a box full of patents and constant innovative development. At isiQiri with its headquarters located at the Hagenberg Software Park, we research, we puzzle and we implement. This young company is regarded as fertile training ground for high-quality innovation. It is yet another example demonstrating that the innovation incubator project tech2b has produced companies with international profiles. Other positions are also held by tech2b start-up companies.

Start-up with a wave of ideas
Numerous experts say this is the most innovative new company currently on the market. IsiQiri interface technologies GmbH with its headquarters at the Hagenberg Software Park was founded by Robert Koeppe and Richard Ebner in 2009. The one being a physicist and inventor, the other a businessman. During its first year, isiQiri was already number one in Upper Austria in terms of patents per employee. And they have had no intention of slowing down. Its interesting technology makes this company a fast-growing player. It has currently extended staff to 13 employees, mainly hardware and software developers. IsiQiri develops and produces large-scale sensor systems able to receive data from distant positions. To be more precise: computer commands can be put in quickly and simply by way of laser pointers, a pen or even by using a finder. If necessary, several users may do this at the same time – if many users want to browse a schedule, for example – and they may even do so from a longer distance. The heart and soul of this innovation is a novel control technology allowing large or even curved surfaces to be made light-sensitive at comparatively low costs. The required film can be produced up to the size of a cinema screen. Possible applications are many and varied. Products can be used for games, presentation technologies, training and much more. The same technology can also be used on large touch screens in public buildings or shopping centres.

scio enterprises-an innovative Hagenberger start-up company gets into gear

Johannes Koch (Technical Manager), Hubert Hofmann (CEO, Managing Director), Nutrition Expert Sasha Walleczek, Michael Meirer (scio-Mentor and Coach), Christian Ebmer (scio Marketing)

On 7 June, Scio enterprises presented the innovative knowledge platform “Expertaneous” for the very first time. Prominent experts from the field of management as well as nutrition expert Sasha Walleczek find it to be a compelling project, and they will be offering high-quality pointers there in the future – even electronically.

“Using the right kind of knowledge delivers more findings, resulting in quicker success” – this is the guiding principle of the young, innovative start-up company from Hagenberg that presented the novel “Expertaneous” project for the first time. Scio uses it to deliver knowledge from high-profile, recognised experts to professionals, young executives, entrepreneurs and all those looking for specific information by using short videos or expert audio messages. All answers are precisely geared to the requirements of clients, according to their relevant industries, experience and interests, either online or via mobile phone app.

“Millions of young professionals have to solve a large number of challenging issues and make the right decisions everyday. That is what drives their careers. There are many who get sleepless nights or experience personal distress as a result. Expertaneous takes the role of an external mentor at the click of a button. Due to its long-standing experience, it is able to provide pointers exactly when they are needed”, says Hubert Hofmann, founder and Managing Director of scio.

Apart from extensive management know-how offered by Expertaneous, Sasha Walleczek, a nutrition expert, is also convinced that this new platform has compelling propositions to offer, and he makes his entire expert knowledge on health and nutrition topics available to it. “I looked for such a project for a long time, because it allows me to share my know-how with many interested people and to keep in touch quickly and easily.”
